Here at the Seminole County Legal Aid it our mission to provide Seminole County residents with the necessary tools to conquer their legal matters as well as assist in anyway we can. To that end, we are so excited to announce all of our community outreach project. From legal advice clinics to workshops and webinars, our new programs provide residents with legal education, assistance, and resources all at no cost. Check out all the various programs below.
MONTHLY LEGAL ADVICE CLINIC FOR VETERANS
If you are a veteran and need free legal assistance, you can gain help at our legal advice clinic at the Central Branch Library located at 215 N. Oxford Rd., Casselberry, FL 32707. Our experienced staff and volunteer attorneys will be there to assist you with any family law or private landlord tenant matters. Additionally, the office of Marco Rubio will be present again this year to help address federal casework issues that constituents have in the community. This clinic takes place every third Thursday of the month from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

SEALING AND EXPUNGEMENT MONTHLY LEGAL ADVICE CLINIC
Pro Bono and staff attorneys provide a monthly presentation to job seekers in Seminole County concerning the sealing and expungement of an eligible criminal record. Attendees can also be connected with resources for employment such as resume editing, job hunting, and interview practice through our partner Goodwill Industries of Central Florida. Clearing your arrest record can give you a second chance at your dream job. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to speak with a volunteer attorney about specific questions relating to their case.
You may qualify if you had:
1. Adjudication withheld or charges dropped
2. AND never previously sealed or expunged your record
The presentation is held over zoom every third Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm. Additionally it is held in-person every first Wednesday of the month from 5:30-6:30pm at the Seminole County Library North Branch located at 150 N. Palmetto Ave., Sanford, FL 32771. HOUSING EDUCATION WEBINAR
With increases in rent and changes to landlord tenant law, it is important now more than ever to understand your rights as a tenant. The Housing Education Project was established to assist those who are at risk of losing their housing. Our office, alongside Goodwill Industries of Central Florida and Advent Health, host this monthly webinar at 5:30pm every last Wednesday of the month. This webinar covers topics such as eviction actions and non-payment of rent in addition to maintenance issues. LEGAL ADVICE CLINIC AT SEMINOLE STATE COLLEGE
Calling all Seminole State College students! Do you have a legal matter prohibiting you from focusing on your studies? Are you also concerned that a legal matter my inhibit your ability to graduate? Come meet with our experienced staff attorneys on campus. We meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 9:00am-12:00pm in the Student Center Building room SC260. You can get advice on various family law and private landlord tenant issues at our clinic.

HEALTHCARE ADVANCE DIRECTIVES FOR LOCAL HEROES
This project will serve citizens of Seminole county that are sworn law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics who have less than 2 years of experience and an annual income of less than $45,000. Our amazing volunteer attorneys will assist qualified applicants with preparing healthcare advance directives. This will include living wills, heath care surrogate forms, and durable power of attorney.
