Yes. There is no charge for our services, no application fee, and no hourly rate. We’re a nonprofit funded by grants, the Seminole County Bar Association, and donations, and our attorneys and volunteers do not bill you.

Our services are for Seminole County residents. If you live elsewhere in Florida, please call our office and our staff can direct you to the right Legal Aid office.
Yes. We have staff who speak Spanish, and you can ask for Spanish-language help when you call or apply.
Applying entails a short prescreen, then completing a scheduled intake appointment. Review and assignment usually takes up to ten days after intake. If you have a court date or an eviction deadline coming up, say so when you apply so we can look at it sooner.
Court filing fees are set by the Clerk of Court, not by us, and they are separate from our services. If you can’t afford them, you can ask the court to waive them by filing an Application for Determination of Civil Indigent Status.
